Hôtel de la Butte
Aux XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles, la compagnie des Chevaliers de l’Arquebuse s’entraînait ici, sur des cibles adossées à une butte artificielle ; c’est de cette dernière, et non de la colline, que le site tient son nom. En 1998, le Conseil d’Architecture, d’Urbanisme et de l’Environnement du Rhône (CAUE) a pris en ces murs la place de la gendarmerie.
The “Mound” Hotel
During the 17th and 18th centuries, the Knights of Harquebuse would train here with their targets attached to an artificial mound; it is this mound, and not the hill, which gives it its name. In 1998, the Rhône Architecture, Town-Planning and Environment Council (CAUE) established its headquarters here, replacing the former gendarmerie.
